Charles Layton, a young and ambitious apothecary, is ordered to the remote »Raven Hills«, a sanatorium for the criminally insane, to put his new research into infused alcoholicae to good use.

During the first round with the strange head of the asylum, Dr. Hermine Schlegel, he is introduced to all the patients. All – except »Patient 23«: Highly aggressive and untreatable, she is kept permanently in the »dark chamber« for everyone's protection.

Driven by zeal, Layton, against regulations, seeks out the mysterious woman one night to reassemble her shattered mind as well. After administering his relaxing gin tonic, she then whispers something that deeply disturbs the apothecary:
»Help me – I am Dr. Hermine Schlegel!«

Pour all ingredients into a highball glass half full with ice. Stir with a bar spoon. Add an orange slice and some mint leaves as garnish to the glass. Fill the highball glass with ice and garnish with 1–2 more mint leaves and an orange slice. Top up with ginger ale and enjoy.

Fill a tea infuser with eucalyptus rosemary tea and brew with hot water. After 7 minutes, pour the tea infuser into a cocktail glass or cup. Fill the glass with ice so that the tea egg is covered. Pour 5 cl Raven Hills and 150 cl tonic water into the glass and top with 5 cl eucalyptus-rosemary tea. Garnish with a sprig of rosemary and a lemon zest.
